I am an artist and primarily a painter, but I have spent my life exploring the myriad possibilities of materials, forms and feeling. This has led me to work in sculpture, ceramics, print, textiles, and digital media. It has also led me to create jewellery and other forms using re-cycled materials. I love creating something new from what might be seen as ‘rubbish’ and making it beautiful again. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone special or something for your own personal collection, I encourage you to come and see me in Carmarthen. You can also contact me through my form to find out more about what I do.
I see these pieces as being part of the same process as painting, in the visual selection of colour, form, texture and composition within a given space.
As with painting, I am concerned to work with what is integral to the materials, responding to their properties in the making process.
Each piece is individually conceived and hand made using copper re-cycled from discarded water tanks, piping and old electrical wiring.
I use minimal tools and make everything by hand. I sometimes use other re-cycled materials, such as slate and aluminium in the making process.
